Homecare Services

Our carers are well trained. Our carers have clear knowledge of the condition and how to provide high quality care to someone with dementia. A thorough care needs assessment will highlight the person’s care needs at every step so that their care package will be adjusted and made relevant to the needs at hand.

We will assist you with getting up in the morning and going to bed at night, with washing, bathing or showering, toileting, dressing or undressing, preparation of simple nutritious meals, encouraging adequate fluid intake every day, cleaning of teeth or dentures, shampooing, washing, drying and combing/brushing your hair, assisting with putting on makeup if desired, shaving or grooming for personal hygiene.

Following a long stay in hospital, or following surgery, a temporary care arrangement may be necessary to assist with the settling-in period back at home, to help you get back to your normal daily living.  Your needs will be assessed and catered for and will be adapted as you progress, until you no longer need extra care.

We will give your loved one quality care while the main carer or family member takes a well-earned respite break.  Mayrose carers will assist by continuing the provision of personalised, high quality care. We understand that you need to know that your loved one is in good hands in order for you to take that respite break.  We will take the time to listen carefully and make sure we are following your wishes down to the finest detail.

By prior arrangement we can arrange for a carer to accompany a service user on a family holiday within the United Kingdom.

There may be times when you or your loved one may need a carer to sit in or sleep over in your home, to keep you company or look after someone with a chronic illness or a life-threatening condition. We can arrange for a night care worker who is experienced in providing overnight care with compassion, patience, understanding and empathy.

Having a clean environment to live in is essential but can be difficult to achieve and maintain due to frailty in old age, ill health or disability. We can help you to keep your home clean and dust-free. This can be provided as a stand-alone service or as part of your care package. Call us now to find out more.

We can arrange for a carer to live with you in your home to support you 24/7. The carer will take care of your personal care needs as well as your household chores and light housework and assist you to live as actively as possible in your own home and local community.

We offer companionship. Do you need to go to the bank, post office, shops, to visit friends and family, go to your social club or day centre, or just to sit in the park and enjoy the sunshine in the Summer? Do you need a carer to assist you or to keep you company?  Look no further. Give us a call today and see how we can help you.
